Senior Manager, National Channel Sales

 

Reporting to the Director, Channel Sales & Marketing this position is responsible for the Value Added Resellers, Digital Signage Integrators and Inside Sales; Sales teams for Canada. The incumbent is responsible to provide strategic direction in all aspects of the Value Added Resellers, Digital Signage Integrators and Inside Sales. The incumbent will lead and communicate on sales strategies, go to market strategies and owns the implementation of the strategies. The incumbent will be responsible for expanding the channel coverage nationally in order to create the appropriate channel capacity and capabilities to deliver the growth, revenue and profit KPIs. The incumbent will regularly manage, mentor and develop staff and performs sales related administrative functions.

Responsibilities

  • Leads National Channel Sales team
  • Formulates “Win-Win” go to market models that leverages expertise of Samsung and partners
  • Develops sales strategy and sets the tone for the sales team
  • Negotiates agreements with channel partners
  • Develops targeted marketing and sales plans with channel partners and ensures that stated objectives are met
  • Sound understanding of the Samsung portfolio for discussion at partner or industry events and customer calls
  • Responsible for overseeing a pipeline and maintaining accurate account and forecast information
  • Representing Samsung Electronics Canada, Inc. in any public or private events designed to create demand and awareness for the entire Samsung product line up and all related products
  • Any other duties as assigned by management designed to strengthen Samsung’s IT business with corporate accounts and other private and public sector business customers
  • Champion the company polices and lead by example.
  • Ability to travel approx. 30-40% of the time

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Post-secondary education (CEGEP or University degree preferred) and or relevant work experience
  • Ability to mentor, train, and guide a sales team
  • Strong writing skills.  Able to translate technology features into compelling customer benefits.
  • Builds aggressive, but achievable business plans
  • Bilingual (French & English) both written and oral an asset.
  • A self-motivated, go-and-get approach and the will to win
  • Strong presentation, sales, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • The ability to interact comfortably within senior levels of an organizations
  • Must be capable of planning, organizing and prioritizing multiple and simultaneous projects and assignments
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skill but also a rigorous approach to resolving performance issues in a timely manner.
  • Deep understanding and experience working with IT resellers and/or digital signage integrators

  • Results driven with a history of exceeding expectations

  • Ability to embrace and drive change, with the courage to make tough decisions for the best performance of the business.

  • Self-starter that holds themselves accountable

  • Management experience leading a sales or channel organization

  • A proven track record of 5 years plus sales and channel management experience.

  • Industry experience in Desk top display, large format display, thin and zero client, printers, MFP’s, notebook, tablets, and Hotel TV.
