With the launch of Samsung Knox™, Samsung Pay, and IoT, we are looking for experienced and talented individuals for our Vancouver lab to design, develop, operate and support these new solutions in the global market.

We’re looking for a highly motivated Senior Product Manager to work on building world class software products across a number of cross functional and global teams in a fast paced, dynamic and competitive landscape.  With your seasoned product management experience, you have an ability to interpret and transform global business strategy and fluid objectives into product deliverables across complex projects and multiple internal and external stakeholders.  You enjoy working closely with diverse business and technology stakeholder groups as you take a product from conception to launch.  As the product owner you know how to use your proven product leadership experience, to effectively manage stakeholder expectations and clearly communicate product strategy, vision, as well as the functional details of a product’s implementation.

 

More importantly, you have the aptitude and the willingness to deep dive into new business initiatives in order to translate opportunities into a cohesive product management approach, from roadmaps to design to execution.

Responsibilities

(What You'll Do)

  • Lead the ideation of innovative product capabilities and feature sets
  • Identify and analyze new market opportunities that inform how a product should evolve
  • Make scope and prioritization decisions, balancing multiple competing inputs against the product strategy
  • Participate and drive the development of implementation strategies and plans
  • Influence key stakeholders across a matrixed organization where authority may be limited
  • Work closely with program management, UX design, engineering, technology operations and business teams to ensure the product vision and roadmap gets executed
  • Define product positioning and key product messages
  • Leverage data analytics, A/B testing and user research to drive KPIs
  • Manage shifting priorities, limited resources, and dependencies; change direction quickly where necessary
  • Communicate and get buy-in on product proposals from a global audience, including senior management, and collaborate on these initiatives with the organization as a whole
  • Identify improvement opportunities in the product management process that best maximize efficiency and help support successful launches

Qualifications

(What You Bring)

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field; a MBA would be preferred
  • 10+ years of end-to-end product lifecycle experience with a focus on technology innovation
  • Product leadership experience with ownership and successful delivery of significant product features and functionality for consumer and/or enterprise products and services
  • Product management experience across multiple technology areas and subject matter expertise is highly desirable in one or more of the following areas: mobile, payments, connected devices and AI
  • Experience in one or more of the fields of cloud services, enterprise solutions, web architecture, mobile applications, developer services (SDKs, APIs), mobile security and data driven solutions
  • Domain knowledge of mobile device management, mobile payments, Internet of Things or AI/deep learning
  • Technical experience gained in software development, systems integration or solutions architecture
  • Client or partner facing experience gained in a consulting, sales engineering or business development role
  • Experience across multiple software development methodologies, specifically Agile and Waterfall
  • Highly organized with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Ability to confidently deal with ambiguity and uncertainty
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on stakeholder management, negotiation and persuasion, and comfortable working across different cultures
  • An aptitude to learn and to innovate in a rapidly changing environment
