B2B Solutions Account Manager

 

The B2B Solutions Account Manager (MC) is the business pre-sales specialist responsible for supporting new and emerging business products and services offered by Samsung. In this role you will build relationships with key sales and partners as well as customers in order to assess end-user needs and ensure appropriate solutions that fit customer requirements. You will be seen as the owner of the business relationship with our carriers’ customers. Your innovative thinking will be valued as you assist the sales team in the pre-sales process. You have a solid working knowledge in the wireless industry but also possess some experience in wireline telecom and in IT.

 

Responsibilities

  • Be the point of contact for one (1) Carrier on a National level, supporting the Carriers SMB and Enterprise Sales teams in Samsung opportunities.
  • Providing pre-sale support with respect to solutions that enable wireless access to corporate intranets, messaging systems and custom back office applications.
  • Have overall responsibility and accountability for all the business sales segments with this Carrier and ability to work with SECA’s Technical Sales Manager and Convergence team when needed to maximize Samsung sales.
  • Work closely with the MC Carrier team  in order to ensure overall alignment  within the Carrier
  • Manage the funnel development for the specific carrier with focus on the carrier B2B commercial and enterprise reps.
    • Work closely with the regional account manager to develop additional funnel opportunities
  • Identify strategies as they relate to the customer’s software development, application functionality, and systems architecture
  • Present technical concepts with ease to customers
  • Build strong customer awareness of all Samsung products and services.
  • Attain all objectives assigned to account opportunities to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Provide technical support and training to the sales teams as required to identify and qualify new accounts
  • Consolidate best practices for mobile sales opportunities
  • Deliver webinars and/or lunch-and-learn sessions to direct sales channels on new technologies and products
  • Understanding of market trends and competitive issues
  • Work closely with the Regional Account Managers (RAMS) to cultivate and support B2B opportunities
  • Monthly travel required

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or Business Administration.
  • Must have Microsoft Office Suite of PC software applications experience with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint preparation skills operating in an NT LAN/WAN systems environment.
  • CCNA, CCDA or MCSE designation preferred.
  • Working knowledge of wireless technologies such as GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, HSPA, LTE, Wifi and WiMAX
  • Knowledge of WAN/LAN environments and of technologies such as Internet, VPN, SS, MDM, ERP etc…
  • Demonstrates extensive product and service knowledge of wireless data products and applications.
  • Demonstrated project management abilities
  • Excellent problem solving skills, highly motivated and adaptable.
  • Proven ability as a technical relationship builder.
  • Bilingual French and English would be considered an asset
  • Requires 5-7 years of related sales experience.
  • Minimum 2 years experience pre-sale support in the wireless data industry preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years experience in the IT/telecommunications industry
  • Capable of creating and maintaining a Business Plan designed to drive B2B success.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to interact comfortably with a wide range of levels within the organizations: from senior executives to support staff. This is essential, since the position has considerable influence as a staff position, but limited direct line authority.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills, presentation skills.
  • Must be highly self-motivated and capable of self-directed work given only broad objectives and limited direct supervision.
  • Must be capable of planning, organizing and prioritizing multiple and simultaneous projects and assignments.
