Sr. Specialist, Business Planning ( Bilingual, Korean/ English)


This role directly reports to Sr. Manager, Business Planning and Marketing Procurement. This individual is

responsible for weekly/monthly scheduled corporate-wide reporting and analysis including Marketing Budget status reports, Market Share analysis, and Macro-economic reports. This role is also responsible for handling  various ad hoc projects upon request. This individual must closely coordinate with various Divisions (Marketing, Sales, Finance, etc.) for implementing and communicating various initiatives.


Data Analyst & Support (80%) 

  • Create executive-level business reports - Analyze and interpret financial data, operational data and reporting 
  •      Assemble and consolidate corporate wide reports prepared by other Divisions (Sales, MKT, SVC, etc.) into one corporate document and ensure uniform formatting
  • Monthly Aging Inventory and A/R data (SCES system) by division and customer, identifying reasons for
  • Increase / decrease and communicating with Sales/Credit/Sales Admin. Departments to consolidate plans for  

    improvement and clearance.  

    - Coordinate with various departments (Credit, Accounting, HR, etc) to meet ad-hoc HQ and NAHQ report  

       requests on a regular and irregular basis

  • Research and analyze economy indicators data by major financial institutions (incl. currency, oil price, etc..)

    Time to time, English – Korean translation. Communication of various HQ official announcements

  • Create market share report by product line
  •                   Collect and manipulate NPD, IDC, and internal market share data into presentable formats -
  •                    Analyze monthly, quarterly, and yearly trends for each product group and reasons for variance
  •     Organize data according to NAHQ and executive reporting format


Marketing Budget Management (20%)


  • Manage yearly MP and forecast for each marketing activity category by each Division through
  • extensive communication with Product Managers
  • Consolidate and reconcile YTD Marketing Spending according to approved Plan Proposals on a monthly
  • basis, track % spent against MP and forecast
  • Create variance reports vs. past year/MP/Forecast and communicate to applicable stakeholders
  • (Executives, PM’s, Project Owners) with using SAP (PP, EO, MP details)
  • Create and manage clear and concise reporting format for stakeholders
  • Monthly reporting to executives and following-up with requests


  • University degree or college diploma preferred (preferably in business or similar focus)
  • Enterprise Reporting System exposure (preferably SAP) is ideal

  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other office products

  • 3 plus years of general office experience preferred (some exposure to business planning would be an asset)

  • Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels within the organization

  • Previous operations exposure is beneficial

  • Good communication skills (written and oral)

  • Fluent in Korean (both speaking and writing)

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Analytical skills with reporting & summarizing

  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple and simultaneous related projects and programs in a challenging corporate environment
