    LED Business Development Manager


    As a Business Development Manager (BDM) for the LED product line up within the EBD team, you will be responsible for developing and managing a pipeline for new LED strategic business opportunities within the Canadian market. The BDM will need to have deep technical understanding of the technology to support large installations. You will also need to communicate with internal cross-functional teams such as product, technology engineers, sales and marketing and facilitate decision-making and communication across all core team members.


    A background in the LED industry is preferred.  To be successful in this position you will need to have strong communication skills and a well balanced view of business objectives and technical dependencies combined with a high level of confidence when communicating with partners and end-customers. You should have the passion to generate new ideas combined with quick execution to create unique customer experiences


    • Drive new sales activities within the LED business to achieve revenue targets within the defined territory.
    • Direct management and business development plan to establish new key clients.
    • Support Key Account Managers and Channel Sales Reps to drive Sales across all of our LED business solutions in Canada
    • Work with Product Management Team to develop LED strategy and activities to support and achievement of targets.
    • Responsible for managing complex project management activities including interfacing with the Service Team, Installation Business Partners and the Engineering team in Korea
    • Deliver accurate forecast and achieve agreed upon financial area targets on a quarterly basis.
    • Support business planning with strong and accurate forecasting and demand planning.
    • Provide commercial, market and competitor input to relevant marketing disciplines
    • Understand market sizes and segmentation; maintain and build knowledge on market and industry trends and competitive intelligence information
    • Understand Influencers, Integrators and other partners within the ecosystem and build strategy and action plans to work with them.
    • Demand Generation: Work with Marcom and Channel Marketing to promote new offerings and create awareness with end-users and channels; Partners with Strategic Marketing and Sales to develop vertical markets playbook and end-user demand generation initiatives


    • Strong and proven Technical knowledge of LED products.
    • Demonstrate the ability to sell and promote the LED product to new customers.
    • Excellent communicational skills and ability to achieve results through performance management
    • Ability to multi-task effectively in a target driven and demanding environment.
    • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks appropriately to ensure customer facing time is maximized.
    • Account development and relationship building skills to maximize commercial opportunities.
    • Target focused, motivated, optimistic, positive and professional.
    • Must be proactive and flexible to customer and company demands.
    • Excellent opening, negotiating and closing skills.
    • 3 to 5 years as a Business Development Manager

    • 2-3 years’ experience selling large complex Display Solutions, LED and LFD

    • Above average customer service skills. Technically inclined. Motivated with excellent time management skills. Ability to influence and drive cross functional teams

    • Demonstrated proficiency in installing and deploying Professional Display solution

    • Demonstrated proficiency in customizing and creating Professional Display entities

    • Demonstrated proficiency in understanding and implementing business workflows and processes

    • Proven communication skills with both internal team members and external business stakeholders

    • Ability to create and transform a vision into a solution

    • Motivated with a positive attitude and excellent time management skills.

    • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

    • Ability to deliver a presentation to a group meeting or training session is preferred.

    • Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent

    • 2 – 3 years in the LED product solution business

    • 3-5 years selling complex technical solutions in the OEM space

    • Strong sales background and ability to lend assistance to sales channels in order to deliver value at all points in the sales cycle

    • Proven success in mixed matrix environments
