    Senior Manager, Field Marketing and Training (IM)

     

    The Sr. Manager, Field Marketing & Training, manages the internal and external field marketing team, coordinates all communication between the Divisional Managers, PRS, field team and Samsung and sets the weekly priorities and objectives for the field team. The Sr. Manager is also responsible for managing the development of training programs and evaluates effectiveness ensuring appropriate ROI.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop weekly priorities for the field marketing team in conjunction with the product divisions.
    • Review and approve the PRS route plan for each field marketer to optimize product and store coverage based on weekly sell-thru analysis and changes in strategic product focus on monthly basis.
    • Develop channel relationship through active management of store managers.
    • To further increase Samsung advocacy, create innovative contests at the local store level to drive Samsung recommendation rate and sell-thru via training contests (aligned with Divisional objectives and budgets)
    • Interact day-to-day with field marketers to promote thorough execution of field marketing activities.
    • Perform research projects as requested by business managers. Provide insights thorough in-depth analysis of quantitative and qualitative data.
    • Based on sell-thru targets set in conjunction with IM /CAM leadership, actively manage the attainment of sell-thru goals by the team through PRS.
    • Provide sales training, guidance and support to the field team. Sets objectives and evaluates performance.
    • Oversees and consults on the production by PRS of daily (2x daily) reporting from the field for key product launches. (S series and Note series launches)
    • Shares best practices among colleagues within Canada and globally.
    • Works to develop online curriculum and learning retention tools as part of evaluation framework.
    • Manages the development of training programs, curricula, assessment/certification and corresponding tools. Coach and guide training of field team on use of training methods and techniques.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional team’s leaders on initiatives by partnering to develop performance standards and operational procedures for training programs.
    • Lead in coordinating, developing and implementing training programs for key initiatives; development includes design, content, delivery and program testing. Seek feedback on training materials and continue to enhance existing curriculum and maintenance of programs.
    • Evaluates programs to determine effectiveness, needs for enhancements and consistency; actively pursue alternate training methods and training techniques. Deliver performance feedback in a supportive manner.

    Qualifications

    • 5-7 years of experience working with field marketing or sales representatives
    • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources or related field preferred
    • Experience in Adult Learning Principles preferred
    • Proven track-record of meeting and exceeding sales goals
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and facility for establishing relationships with retail and channel partners
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products is required, with an emphasis on the creation of Microsoft Power Point
    • Strong interpersonal skills, able to interact comfortably with a wide range of levels in organizations: from senior executives to support staff within and outside of the company
    • Strong oral and written communications skills, presentation skills
    • Must be highly self-motivated and capable of self-directed work given only broad objectives and limited direct supervision
    • Must be capable of planning, organizing and prioritizing multiple and simultaneous projects and assignments
