    Sr. Specialist, Sales Operations, Data Management


    The incumbent will provide ongoing support to the Consumer Electronics Division, facilitating strategy development through entry, creation and management of various market and internal data. Activities, projects and reporting will include internal interaction with all levels and departments of the organization. This role will monitor, analyze and provide reports and recommendations for CE Product Management and Sales Operations.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Assist with analysis for developing short, mid, longer term strategy in support of the division
      • a). sales analysis by product category and sales channel
      • b). Tracking business strategic direction- divisional KPI tracking
    • Prepare Industry/Market Analysis

    • Macro trends analyses; Global, Industry and Canadian market trends
    • Competitor Analysis(Competitive Landscape reporting to Operations Manager, PM's & Channel)
    • Assist PM's with P&L file management(target update, inputting actuals)
    • Support the creation of reports for top management at Samsung Canada, NA and HQ in Korea

    Data Entry:

    • Supporting both TV, AV and Monitor product management teams
    • Enter special pricing for opportunity buys including aging, into the appropriate SECA system to allow for efficient processing of the orders by other departments.
    • Assist the Product management team in entering applicable data into SECA systems to allow for various P/L calculations
    • Assist the Product Management team in entering the relevant data from the CE 12 week promotional plans into the CORES system and funding notification follow up and communication with respective account managers
    • Assure the correct data is reflected in the various systems for analysis and reporting within the CE division leadership and finance teams.


    Data Creation & Management

    • Creation, management and communication of internal reports, dashboards, and scorecards,
    • Measurement of sales trends, market trends, channel sales
    • Aggregating weekly NPD data in preparation for analysis
    • Management of market Share of Voice data, using Datatail
    • Creation of data templates designed to aggregate information
    • Work closely with PI team to ensure accuracy and relevance of data Cube information and formatting
    • Educate and support the sales team to be able to use the Scorecard and Cube to derive account-level insights and trends on a self-serve basis

    Divisional Communication:

    • Prepare monthly price lists, O&A templates, and communications files, and distribute to the CE sales & marketing team.
    • Works to ensure all CE divisional objectives are assigned in a timely fashion and meeting notes prepared


    Sharepoint Power User:

    • Manage upload, creation, maintenance of all files and file structures for Product Management and Sales
    • Manage the structure and architecture of site and all its folders to meet the evolving communication and collaboration needs of the division


    IDEA System Power User:

    • Ensure division is educated and enabled to use the IDEA system to drive self-derived business insights
    • Deliver weekly user direction with snapshots on key dashboards
    • Point person contact with IDEA HQ group for improvements and trouble-shooting
    • Proactively identifies opportunities for divisional process improvement. Works closely with CE management to assess process quality and prioritize opportunities for improvement. Assists CE divisional management in understanding process bottlenecks and inconsistencies. Facilitates an organization of continuous process improvement.
    • Monitors the accuracy and efficient distribution of divisional reports and other intelligence essential to the sales & marketing organization. Recommends revisions to existing reports, or assists in the development of new reporting tools as needed.
    • Maintenance of SKU matrix, SOV data, customer event planning calendar and other channel/sales management files in support of division


    • Post-Secondary Education in Business or Marketing preferred
    • 2 or more years’ experience working in the marketing field preferred
    • Working under aggressive deadlines
    • Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other MS Office applications.
    • Solid quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to report on insights in a logical format
    • Understanding fundamental financial and accounting concepts
    • Understanding of how sales deductions, marketing spends and incremental proposals contribute to the overall business
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task effectively
    • The ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple and simultaneous projects and programs in a changing corporate environment.
