    eCommerce, Payment and Fraud Sr. Specialist (18 month contract)

     

    The eCommerce, Payment and Fraud Sr. Specialist, is responsible for creating a strategy and for managing all online payment related activities through cybersource to ensure all legitimate transactions are processed in timely manner while all fraudulent transactions are rejected. Minimizing false positive rejections will help improve sales performance while maximizing revenue. Also, rejecting all fraudulent transactions will help reduce expense and help to improve profitability.

    Responsibilities will range from payment processing support to fraud rule management through decision manager, manual transaction review, technical troubleshooting, chargeback management, data integration with BI tools, user management, training the customer service team.

    The role is required to work closely with many key stakeholders across the organization including finance and customer service and is also able to work with minimal supervision to manage all required tasks.

    In parallel, the incumbent will support ad-hoc requests such as producing payment related reports, strategy and planning for fraud management, etc.

    Responsibilities

    1. Cybersource online payment gateway & fraud management (70%)

    • Payment processing support by working with cybersource, banks, internal and external stakeholders
    • Fraud rule management through programing “decision manager tool”
    • Develop strategy for refining fraud rule settings to ensure all good transactions are approved while all fraudulent transactions are rejected
    • Daily manual review of auto-rejected orders to decide on approval or reject
    • Technical troubleshooting support for any integration issues with partners
    • Cybersource user account management for various user groups (ie. Transaction view only)
    • Developing and providing cybersource training to the customer service team
    • Provide responses & action plans to the customer service teams’ payment related inquiries
    • Process payment or credit manually based on the assessment and internal approval
    • Work with internal and external key stakeholders to add new payment methods to ecommerce platform (ie. Samsung Pay, American Express)
    • Manage payment related contracts with Cybersource, Credit Card companies, Banks, Financing partners, etc.
    • Technical integration of Online financing

    2. Payment dispute (Chargeback) management (15%)

     

    • Work with the banks, credit card and paypal to provide back-up and responses for all payment disputes to ensure there are minimal losses

    3. Data integration and regular reporting (15%)

    • Work with internal & external parties to integrate cybersource data to various BI tool through API/XML/etc.
    • Understand the detailed cybersource reports and provide summary reports
    • Daily report on pending review, payment issues
    • Weekly summary reports on successful vs. rejected orders, fraudulent
    • Weekly summary reports on payment dispute status
    • Ad-hoc reports on strategy and action plans for various payment related issues

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor degree or related experience (3-5 years)
    • Experience in managing cybersource, online payment gateway (3-5 years)
    • Managing online fraud tool (3-5 years)
    • Experience with ecommerce platform such as Hybris/Magento/etc. is an asset
    • Experience in adding payment method to ecommerce platform is an asset
    • Online payment solution process knowledge is an asset
    • Online payment solution technical implementation experience is an asset
    • Exceptional attention to detail and Sense of urgency
    • Demonstrated project management skills
    • Versatile in multi-tasking
    • Comfortable working with Excel, Word, PowerPoint
    • Highly developed communication & interpersonal skills, able to build relationships and interact comfortably with a wide range of levels in the organization: from senior executives to support staff within and outside of the company.
    • Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision
    • Strong analytical, organizational and planning skills
    • Proven ability to function effectively in a team environment.
