    Sr. Specialist, IM Content Development

     

    The Sr. Specialist will assist with the IM Channel team with technical support for training and other media initiatives related to Samsung Mobile Communications products. The incumbent will help execute and implement training matters under the direction of the Training Manager and or Field Marketing Manager.

     

    The incumbent will also work with other members of the content team to manage ongoing projects that relate to our online learning app and Ambassadorship programs. New initiative projects that require the involvement of our Retail Sales Associates and Field Marketing reps will also be a requirement. 

    Responsibilities

    • Ability to manage relationships with subject matter experts to make sure content is accurate
    • Accountable for delivering content assets that are accurate, timely, high quality while meeting the department’s KPIs/ objectives.
    • Create scripts to support events that will talk to feature demonstrations
    • Responsible for helping to create materials that will support the creation of Sell sheets, elearning, facilitation and Marcom positioning.
    • Create competitive and Comparative charts to ensure our field team Is ready for launches
    • Accurate reporting will be a requirement to measure the success of training programs along with tracking retention % of our internal field reps and RSPs in the field
    • Project management skills will be necessary to ensure that our communication strategies and processes are being followed
    • Device demo design: This activity area encompasses taking a lead on identifying the top 3 or top 5 things to demo on our major devices that will support our Marcom team, PR team and internal FMRs/Managers. Main task to identify and document the most compelling applications, videos/media and tips and tricks.
    • Competitive analysis and dissemination: This activity encompasses the purchase of major competing devices, and the assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of that device, and the subsequent training of FMRs/ SES RSPs and RAMs/ AMs on that device. Comparative analysis is also required
    • Event support and delivery of training presentations when required: This includes presenting, scheduling and or facilitating webinars as dictated by the Training Manager and/or Field Manager. Periodic travel to regional events will be required.
    • Requirement to work with content team members to support , execute and manage quizzing to ensure our internal team is proficient in Product Knowledge
    • Periodic store visits will be required to access the retention of training in field
    • Management and lead Liaison with HQ in managing and tracking all training demo units and accessories
    • Webinar presentations-delivery: The Technical Training prime will be the prime person for national webinar trainings and scheduling
    • Firmware support and update: The Technical Training Prime will carry responsibility for working with the Samsung engineering team to post device firmware updates for FMRs and RAMs and communicate How to .
    • Technical resource for internal or external partners on device questions
    • The Technical Training Prime will take responsibility for supporting the content uploading and maintenance of training material on the S+ training application and internal site. ( Digital Asset Management)

    Qualifications

    • 3-5 years retail experience preferred
    • Facilitation and Design certification from an accredited college or University– Intermediate level an asset
    • Strong presentation and facilitation skills with min 3+ years in delivering training preferred
    • Strong leadership, influence and motivational skills
    • Intermediate understanding of MS Excel and PowerPoint and other software as they relate to the creation of training documents, training systems and reporting
    • Project management skills – as it relates to managing training projects when assigned
