    Specialist, Sample Management


    In this fast-paced and very dynamic department, this position is responsible for managing the customer sample program at Samsung. This individual works closely with a third party external sample management company and with sales divisions to manage the inventory and shipping and receiving of samples daily. This role will include various routine administrative duties and reporting but will also require the ability to manage various ad hoc projects as required. In addition, the role includes preparing and managing the reporting of key management reports related to sales, inventory and other business areas. As part of the business operations team, managing certain orders will also be part of the role.


    • Responsible for ensuring overall inventory of samples including all sample receipts, shipments, disposals and
    • overdue retrievals are managed in accordance with company guidelines and policies
    • Managing the current process in a cost efficient way
    • Provide daily updates on sample registration status and movements on SAP
    • Perform invoice validation for storage, freight, and administration costs related to samples
    • Producing and presenting accurate monthly variance reports on sample marketing expenses and provide recommendations on cost reduction and efficiencies
    • Creation and distribution of customer invoices for sample sell-out and lost units
    • Regularly track samples in-use and ensure all samples are returned before contract expiry date
    • Effectively communicate with divisional sample managers to ensure all samples are actively used, and minimize aging inventory
    • Perform inventory counts semi-annually and reconcile if differences noted
    • Manage aging samples to reduce storage and handling costs
    • Reconcile data between 3rd party managed inventory data and SAP data
    • Preparing a monthly analytical report on sample assets usage per product divisions and operation efficiencies to the senior management team
    • Assessing initial approval of sample inventory requests and checking the eligibility while maintaining efficient
    • sample pool size directed by senior management team.
    • Create orders for new samples, marketing units and so on
    • Creation and preparation of daily, weekly and monthly sales and inventory reports for all SECA business
    • Improve and implement changes to all reports being processed.
    • Create or change Extended Warranty / Mobile Care orders
    • Ad-hoc duties as required



    • University degree or college diploma preferred (preferably in business or similar focus)
    • Enterprise System exposure (preferably SAP) is ideal
    • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other office products
    • 3 plus years of office and inventory/order management experience preferred
    • Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels within the organization
    • 3rd party vendor management experience preferred
    • Previous operations exposure is beneficial
    • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)- be able to communicate and execute internal compliance across all divisions
    • Strong organization, analytical and reporting skills
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple and simultaneous related projects and programs in a challenging corporate environment
    • Process improvement skills
