    Specialist, AR (Treasury & Taxes)


    In this fast-paced department, the primary responsibilities involved in this role include treasury and indirect taxes. The incumbent will also be required to assist with various tasks related to general accounting, pre-travel approval as well as the month end close, and quarterly and annual audits.



    • Perform monthly sales tax audit, prepare and file VAT & PST returns;
    • Prepare monthly corporate tax calculation file and ensure that tax instalments are made on a timely basis;
    • Coordinate and prepare year-end tax returns to CRA, Revenue Quebec, AB Treasury Board and Finance and the International Tax Services Office;
    • Assist in external tax audits;
    • Provide research based support to other departments on VAT and PST related inquires;
    • Work closely with HQ and accounting firm for transfer pricing documentation;
    • Prepare daily cash flow report and coordinate monthly cash flow forecast;
    • Prepare bank reconciliation on a daily and a monthly basis;
    • Perform various treasury related transactions such as preparing online bank wire transfers for F/X deals;
    • Perform month-end activities including but not limited to ITC calculation on employee expenses;
    • Prepare HQ reporting documentation (Financial Health Check and Treasury Health Check);
    • Ad hoc reports as required.


    • University degree or College equivalent (Business Administration, Commerce or Accounting) preferred
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and ERP (SAP preferable);
    • Knowledge of Canadian Indirect Taxes and Corporate Tax;
    • Ability to work under pressure while meeting tight deadlines and month-end overtime with minimal supervision;
    • Ability to work on multiple tasks and attention to detail;
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
    • Detail oriented;
    • Ability to adopt to change and manage competing priorities
    • 2+ years of accounting experience.
